CUSTOMER PROFILE:
@Asia Inc. based in Tokyo, Japan, owns and operates three Web sites. It also provides strategic management and marketing consulting services to both online and offline clients.
@Asia's core competencies include general management, strategic planning, brand marketing, advertising, and new business development.
CHALLENGE:
@Asia was interested in exploring the area of online domain name registration and transaction. The proposed bilingual (English and Japanese) Web site would allow users to register online and list domain names for sale. Buyers would be able to register and make an offer for the domain names listed for sale.
The site would also allow registered buyers and sellers the facility to view their listings/offers and park their domain names. The Admin section would allow @Asia to maintain the complex domain-trading site.
RESPONSE:
JLD Technology worked with @Asia to design and build a robust system that could handle large volumes of online transactions.
The students can register for ContEd courses online while the TUJ Admin can easily manage ContEd courses and assign them to a semester. The TUJ admin can also specify which courses should be displayed in the Student section, and manage online and offline student applications.
The site allows buyers to search for domain names based on criteria such as category and price range. It also lists the best value, newly listed, low priced and featured domains. Buyers and sellers are sent system generated emails each time a transaction is made.
The cron job set up by JLD Technology, updates the latest exchange rate for the USD and Yen every night.
