Audi Japan Vehicle Distribution Hub

CUSTOMER PROFILE :

Audi Japan is a subsidiary of Audi, an upscale carmaker that produces more than 600,000 cars a year.

CHALLENGE:

Audi Japan was contemplating development of a vehicle distribution hub for its used cars. The hub would enable the Audi Japan staff to maintain an online database of dealers and used cars. Authorized Audi Japan dealers would be able to search/reserve/order Audi Japan used cars online, and maintain their own used cars stock. The project would also comprise a Customers section that would allow the customers to search for dealer used cars, view the details, and contact the dealer.

The first phase of the site was developed using PHP and offered basic functionality that allowed authorized Audi Japan dealers to only check the Audi Japan stock. The second phase involved rewriting (in Java) the Phase I functionality and adding new functionality such as online reserving/ordering for dealers. The third phase comprised the Customers section and allowed Audi Japan dealers to add their own used cars stock.

RESPONSE:

JLD Technology developed the vehicle distribution hub in three phases as required by Audi Japan and ensured a smooth transition from PHP to Java. The hub makes it easy for the Audi Japan dealers to reserve and order used cars and sales promotion goods online. The Audi Japan Stock Locator section allows the Audi staff to add/update cars, dealers and sales promotion goods. It also allows the staff to view dealer orders and update the order status.
