mform Application System

CUSTOMER PROFILE :

FlyingColor Group is one of Japan’s most innovative & experienced interactive marketing companies. It was established in the year 1993. In the year 2001 the company was voted as the Marketer of the Year in Asia.

CHALLENGE:

FlyingColor Group conceived of a concept that would allow its customers to offer their users the facility to submit requests for faxes from computers or mobile phones. Each customer would link their company website to the proposed mform Application System to enable their users to submit requests for documents to be faxed. The faxes would be sent to a specified fax number or in some cases - an email ID.

The proposed system would allow the mform administrator to add an administrator for every customer. The customer administrators would be able to upload documents, view requests for faxes and send faxes. The mform administrator would also be able to view the billing details for each customer.

The challenge was to develop a Web-based system that would be compatible with the computer and mobile phone.

RESPONSE:

JLD Technology developed the mform Application System based on the specifications and handled the requirement of multiple platforms (computers and mobile phones) by providing a different interface for mobile phone users.

The fax-ending component in the mform Application System is multithreaded so that it can handle multiple faxes simultaneously. It also takes care of the load-balancing factor in case the fax requests exceed the capacity. To achieve multiple-fax dispatching, the system uses 2 fax servers each with 4 fax cards (Intel Dialogic). Each card is able to send 4 faxes at a time.
