Pieroth Japan Damaged Outfit Product (DOP) Intranet

CUSTOMER PROFILE :

Pieroth Japan K.K., established in 1969, is the first overseas branch of Pieroth, a market leader in direct wine sales throughout the world. The company is internationally renowned for its expertise in top-quality wines from Germany, Europe and the rest of the world.

CHALLENGE:

Pieroth Japan K.K. wanted to develop a bilingual Intranet that would allow their sales team (SFE’s) to search for Damaged Outfit Product (DOP) wines and reserve/order them online for their customers. The proposed system would also comprise an Admin section that would allow the Pieroth admin to effectively manage users, products and reservations/orders.

The challenge was to transfer the product and user data in the existing AS400 system to the Intranet. The proposed system would also need to be robust enough to efficiently handle the large amount of data transferred from the AS400 system.

RESPONSE:

The Intranet developed by JLD Technology allows the admin to easily import users from the AS400 system. The admin can search for users in the Intranet, view their details and modify a few fields such as password and email. The Product Management section allows the admin to search/add/modify products. The system also makes it easy for the admin to add different product vintages. The system enables the admin to search reservations/orders, extend the reservation period, and convert reservations to orders or cancel them. The admin can also maintain the countries, regions and areas assigned to each product.

The SFE’s can search products based on different criteria, reserve/order products for customers and email the reservation/order details to the customers. The customers can search for the products that have been reserved for them, view the details, and change their reservation to an order.
