Pirelli Japan B2B Hub
CUSTOMER PROFILE :
Pirelli Japan is part of the Pirelli worldwide group, one of the world's top six tyre manufacturers. Its tyre sector develops, manufactures and trades tyres for cars, industrial and commercial vehicles, agriculture machinery, motorcycles and other transportation.
CHALLENGE:
Pirelli Japan was contemplating the development of a B2B hub for selling and distributing Pirelli tyre products to the company’s registered distributors and dealers in Japan. The goal of this project was to allow the dealers to search/place/check their orders, back orders, and generate sales statistics. The challenge was the integration of the B2B hub with the existing SunSystems Accounting database.
RESPONSE:
JLD Technology researched Pirelli Japan’s requirements and developed and integrated the new B2B hub with the existing SunSystems database. Arden also developed the necessary functionality for easy administration including dealer management.
As the B2B hub had a Japanese interface, JLD TEchnology used the double byte character set to develop the system.
An important feature of this B2B hub is the instant Order number that is generated for a user (customer) the minute an order is placed. The user can then track the order using this number in other quotes and orders.
