CASE STUDY:
So-Net M3 Replication and Migration of Weblogic Environment
CUSTOMER PROFILE :
So-Net M3 K.K. is a fully owned subsidiary of Sony Corporation Japan. Its main services include using the Internet to provide medicine manufacturers with business and marketing support, and Internet related systems configuration and employment.
CHALLENGE:
So-Net M3 K.K. was contemplating migration from their existing system across to another service provider. JLD Technology role involved providing assistance in the setup and migration of the existing system across to the new system.
RESPONSE:
JLD Technology implemented the So-Net M3 Replication and Migration of Weblogic Environment project in two phases.
Phase I of the project involved replicating a similar environment to the planned live environment, and testing the system to ensure that it effectively load balanced between the Web servers and the Weblogic clustered server.
Phase II comprised System Transfer and Deployment to the Exodus Facility. This included successfully coordinating, and setting up the system at the Exodus data-center.
As part of this project, JLD Technology also conceptualized and implemented the data failover system that replaced the earlier system of manually backing up data. Arden Systems set up a primary and standby database and ensured that if the primary database went down, the standby database would automatically convert to primary database with practically no down time.
