CASE STUDY:
Content Management System
CUSTOMER PROFILE :
Space Design Inc. is a leading real estate developer that provides unique and elegant, short- or long-term, offices and apartments (furnished or non-furnished) in Japan. Space Design Inc. also develops and sells condominium apartments and has serviced apartments in Tokyo.
CHALLENGE:
Space Design Inc. already had a corporate website in place but they wanted a system that would allow them to immediately reflect changes in company pricing and policies. The main requirement for this system was the ability to dynamically upload content to the corporate website.
RESPONSE:
JLD Technology proposed the development of a Web-based Content Management System (CMS), which would allow users to create/modify websites, templates and content items in different languages. It would also allow the incorporation of image and media files such as gifs, jpegs, pdfs, and flash files into the website.
The users of CMS have access to the system based on the assigned roles (e.g. Admin, QA Approver, and Content Translator) and rights (e.g. add/modify user, delete website, and add/modify content item).
If a website or content item is approved, it can be uploaded instantaneously onto the production server, thus reducing down time. The Content Management System also provides versioning and archiving facilities for content items and templates.
