CASE STUDY:
Unified Messaging Configuration Portal
CUSTOMER PROFILE :
Space Design Inc. is a leading real estate developer that provides unique and elegant, short- or long-term, offices and apartments (furnished or non-furnished) in Japan. Space Design Inc. also develops and sells condominium apartments and has serviced apartments in Tokyo.
CHALLENGE:
Space Design wanted to develop a unified messaging system for its serviced apartments by integrating Cisco Unity Server and Cisco Call Manager, and incorporating multiple user levels (Basic User, Office Manager, Building Manager and Main Administrator). The system also needed to incorporate a billing section.
RESPONSE:
JLD Technology studied the single-user Cisco Unity Server and Cisco Call Manager software and customized the code to suit the client requirements. Some functionality (e.g. searching for personal address book entries) in the User section was also developed for the I-mode interface.
The Integrated Billing Section allows the Main Administrator and Building Managers to centralize the billing for all phones and faxes. The Building Managers are able to search for faxes and phones based on users or offices. They can also generate reports in Japanese and English.
The main feature of the Billing section is the inclusion of the rate lookup table for identification of per-minute rates (different for mobiles and landlines) for each country. It also integrates other billing options that allow users to upgrade their Internet speed for an additional monthly charge.
